Yes they do, really convenient for close knit housing estates with alleys as opposed to driving round in a car.

I believe the city ( that I'm in a suburb of) has a bike patrol in the downtown area. Ive never seen any in any of the suburban towns.

Yes, and now they have a vehicle that isn't quite a unicycle but it has only one wheel.

LOL. we have 3 police cars I think..maybe 4. and most of the time they are sitting in the parking lot of the police station so I see no need here for a bicycle patrol for MANY years to come if ever

I see the occasional bicycle patrol in the local shopping area. Last I heard they're thinking about issuing them with wooden sticks in case they ever feel the need to hit a villain really hard

some of the county sheriffs ride bicycles. i asked one once if he liked riding a horse better. all the sheriffs have horses to ride if needed. he said there were good points for each, but he liked the bike best. lower maintenance.

Yes they do. I asked an officer if he could pedal his bike fast enough to catch a car. He said no, sometimes they can catch a car at its next stop and I guess they can call for a motorized unit if need be.

I have seen some of bikes, But there is not really a patrol, I think the only reason why they go on bikes in my town is becuase there car broke down

Only in the summer and early fall. The rest of the year, they stay in their cruisers----too much snow and freezing temperatures. :(

Nope. But they've got some of the coolest patrol cars I've ever seen. All decked out, and they're purple, red, and blue.
