I like the steel cut MUCH BETTER...once you taste it, you will see the difference. BUT it takes 45 minutes to cook, so I only eat it when i don't have to be at work at 6:30 am.
Steel cut oats are healthier than rolled oats, which are used in most oatmeal. While rolled oats are steamed, rolled, re-steamed and toasted, steel cut oats do not go through this additional processing that cause them to lose flavor. Steel cut oats maintain their natural flavor and texture.
Steel cut oats have low calorie content, and no calories from fat.
So, whats for breakfast?

Sloane: the texture is creamy and delicious....if you like oatmeal like I do, you will LOVE the steel cut....
