Is there alot of gang violence in your area? how can i protect my family without moving to a new house?

I do not live in an area with a lot of gang violence right now but I did at one time.

I cannot think of any way to be safe other than moving.

You could get big dogs... the gang members would shoot them.

You could get an alarm system... in the gang warzone I lived in police would not come into the neighborhood with less than three police units.

You could get a gun... do you want, if you are attacked and have to use it, to face YOUR legal prosecution? Yes, you will be prosecuted. If you get one, or have one but have not thought of this, train you and your family in gun safety and keep it secure so your children cannot get to it.

The only major thing I can think of doing would be to enroll your family in a GOOD martial arts school but it would be years before they would be able to use it effectively.

One thing you should not do is sit near a window. Put your couch somewhere stray bullets will not catch you during drivebyes.

Also do not go out at night, know which sides of the road to walk down, and hope.
