Help answer this question below.
I agree with BigBossSNK. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, even though my first doctor said I did not have it. It turns out that they tested me at the wrong time! My second doctor told me that you have to test the blood at a certain time because either right before or right after (don't remember which, sorry) your period, all your hormone levels change and it's very hard to catch, even if you DO have it! I would have very heavy periods then skip them for 6 months or more, without being pregnant!
A second opinion!
A doctor told me that I didn't have PCOS either, and she wanted me to have a HSG test to see if my uterus is okay, and to check for any blockage which I think I do have in one of my tubes.
i agree a second opinion is necessary. i know when i got pregnant with my first son i had a difficult time. tried for about a year then came across the therometer method and low and behold i got pregnant three months later. it is a special thermometer call a bazel thermometer that you use every morning to take your temp. when you ovoluate your body temp change and as you track the change and after a couple of months doing this you will know when to have your hubby inpregnate you.
what is pcos
Go for another opinion. See a doctor is better than just talking about it with other people in terms of health issues.
Also, have your partner see a doctor as well. It might not be you....

You're reading We've been trying to get pregnant for a while now and have been unsuccessful. I have VERY irregular periods! I went to the doctors and I don't have PCOS. What else could be causing me to not get pregnant? What can help me?

I think you may be right. They did do a blood test and found that my testosterone levels were slightly higher than everything else. So, they sent me for a sonogram but that came up with nothing. I guess what I should have asked was, "What else besides PCOS would make a woman's testosterone level slightly higher than normal?"
