Help answer this question below.
not suprised. the fact that they dont randomly drug test teachers is scary.
the percentage of teachers who have drug problems is exactly the same as the percentage of the general population that has drug problems. The only difference is that the teachers are more newsworthy than the Mom next door.
Oh my gosh!!
That was my reaction. That's horrible!! Makes me sick the kind of crap people do, particularly someone who cares for our children. I know we don't pay teachers enough but come on...
She's not the first and she won't be the last.
Unfortunately it ISN'T shock or surprise.
I've seen Emergency Room Doctor's being hauled in for the same thing.
Drugs are everywhere.
Holy moly!! Shocked is my reaction!! What the heck is happening now? How is the school handling it? Do the kids know anything? Wow. What a world we live in!! How incredibly disappointing:(
She should never be allowed around children again. And should do lots of time.
I guess she needed to do some "moonlighting".
Makes me sick to my stomach! You have to be very very careful about who you let influence your children and it is horrible that we should even have to consider that their teacher would not be a good influence.
she should lose her teaching license. We had a teacher here who offered to "pay" a student to buy her drugs a few weeks ago. I was disgusted then and I stand disgusted everytime I hear crap like this. We expect teachers to be role models to our kids and not only our they not role models but this was probably so stoned that she wouldn't even be able to help a kid in an emergency. It makes you afraid to even send the kids to school
Yes, that is shocking, but I've heard stuff like that on the news several times. People now in days do crazy stuff. Not everyone, but a small majority of people are just CRAZY!
thats effed up shiz
She needs to lose her teacher's license and not be able to teach in any state, otherwise she will go do the same thing somewhere else!
I know that teachers are underpaid, but she should have been more selective in her moonlighting. +4
Well...I might be the only one, but while it's surprising (a second grade teacher? Selling crack?!) and yet not (In this day and age..) I don't think I could think of her any different than any other crack dealer: Unless she was selling or trying to influence people who cannot make such a decision themselves (e.g., children), or letting it interfere with her teaching, I don't think that she was doing anything wrong.
But then, I'm anti-prohibition and the law would disagree with me, wouldn't it.
GO TO JAIL...GO DIRECTLY TO JAIL...DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT EVER HAVE ANY SORT OF JOB THAT PLACES YOU ANYWHERE NEAR CHILDREN AGAIN! So much for that college education...
What a dunce.
it could have been worse in that she might have (and still could) sell drugs to 5th graders or have sex with them. obviously, she shouldn't be teaching anywhere with a drug conviction. you know, back in the old days, we used to be able to attract the very best and brightest to teaching, partly because women didn't have options of entering law or medical or business or engineering programs. now they do, so, so many teachers today are the less desirable candidates who can't get highly competitive jobs so they settle. by the grace of god, most teachers are devoted, highly moral, good citizens.
holy crap....would be my first reaction
Too many teachers are making the headlines for stuff like this lately, it' scary. I know there are still a lot of wonderful, caring teachers out there, but stories like this are surfacing with alarming regularity.
Further proof that teachers aren't being compensated enough... that's not to say if their job was better paying that things like this would NEVER happen. My question is was this someone who was arrested for selling crack who happened to be a teacher, or was the school or the students involved?
Hey at least she wasn't sleeping with a student.
Sounds like she had some decent experience on the streets. Couldn't go astray in a classroom.
Considering the wages paid to sports figures and then those paid to teachers, I'd say this is merely one more piece of evidence that the USA is one more messed up place.
wow, im kind of shocked.
its a sad sad world ..one in which unfortunatley this sort of stuff is becoming more frequent :O(
At least she's not selling it to the kids... I think wr need more teachers like this.
Teachers don't make enough these days.
I think it's really ironic, but it's the world we live in today. It's sad that people want to ruin their lives doing something like that and spend a long time in jail because of it.
You should be glad that she is behind bars! That is pretty screwed up, but I believe it. Where did this happen?
Times are tough. LOL. But in all seriousness its amazing the allure of selling drugs,The easy money, the adventure ,it plays into peoples need to have this "cool" alter ego, But the money is the biggest draw, heres a quick course in dope math. If johnny buys an ounce of powder cocaine from hector for $700 .Then goes home and cooks it into a crack cookie and breaks it apart and sells it outright buy the peice he will quadruple his money. So therefore he makes $2800 dollars in a day. This is why kids would rather sell dope than work at mickey d's. So although I do not condone this type of stuff I just thought I would provide an alternate view.
My elementary school art teacher was just fired for coming to school drunk. And I always thought it was only at the high school people came in drunk lol
Wow an elementary school teacher is the last person I would think to get caught selling hard drugs.
shows that teachers are tempted by greed like many others, where did it happen,my niece has a teaching degree and is unemployed, maybe she can score the job
Were all trying to make money, one way or another.
Tsk tsk tsk, don't take the Whitney Houston approach, jesus.
There went her career.. I VERY seriously doubt she was peddling to children. I hope she gets a good lawyer and the help she needs.
Kind of scary. Wonder if she was dealin part time at school? Guess she won't be teaching again, or for awhile whatever her punishment may be. Sucks to be her.
I totally agree all teachers should be drug tested.
Time to find a new school for the kiddies.
Is the salary that low?
That should shed light on the fact that teachers are not payed enough! But your nephew's teacher should have got a second job or done something LEGAL for extra money. How are you going to be a 2nd grade teacher teaching kids to do the right thing and stay off of drugs and shit like that when you are a dope dealer yourself?
not surprised. They need to do random drug screens on all the teachers at that school. That is crazy but it happens
true role model right there

You're reading My nephew's 2nd grade teacher was arrested last night. She sold crack cocaine and heroin to an undercover police officer. What is your reaction to THAT?
