  • Not illegal, but, to say the least, certainly distasteful .
  • no of course it's not illegal. we have a nazi party in the US. freedom of belief. One of the good things we have over here
  • It's not illegal but you might as well sign your own death sentence
  • It's only illegal if you hang it above an American flag .. and depending on the state, the state flag too .. there are laws pertaining to what order, height, lighting, etc .. but you certainly are allowed to display it ..
  • You will start problems with your neighbors and may be the subject of severe criticism, hatred and possible vandalism.
  • People avoid you and your children. It's legal.
  • I can probably guarantee you won't make many friends. It is not against the law though.
  • Its legal, do what you want on your property
  • If it's not, expect a few bricks through your windows.
  • i hope so especially anything connected with extreme fascism although you could argue freedom of speech but i doubt it would help your case with the police
  • Absolutely not, but I'll be SOOOOOOOO pissed if I saw that... I see Nazi tats all the time, if it comes down to flags... idk... i'll probably do something about it...
  • No, it is not illegal in most places however do to legislation changes you may wish to check your municipality as it may contribute to the inciting of racial hatred which is a crime.
  • If you belong to the Aryan Nation, probably not in your mine. Just let all your fellow towns people make the decision for you. I'd watch my a-- if you decide to.BTW, if you do fly it, please let the vets in your town in American Legion, VFW, etc know. They'll surely want to come shake your neck, I mean hand.
  • we are a free people, here in the US, and our government (mostly) treats us like the grownups we are. we are allowed to think and decide for ourselves in matters such as these, and we face the ramifications accordingly. in other words, the government would not interfere but our neighbors would let us know how they feel
  • You'd probably get really really really pissed people calling police, or taking matters into their own hands.
  • They frequently did just that shortly before the war and in some brave little nooks during and after. There were all kinds of Reich organizations all over every German town USA. WHen they began to get a little too mouthy and obvious... Hitler himself ordered them to disband and dismantle. This is America... Unfortunately, soldiers die, to defend the idiots rights to be idiots too! You can do it anywhere in America EXCEPT for a deed restricted community. Go figure?
  • It isn't illegal in the US. However, if you live in a deed restricted community, it could fall under the fineable offenses on your deed.
  • No, it's not illegal. Ironically, the ACLU defended the right of the Nazis to march in Skokie, Illinois, in 1977. They won the case, too. However, it's not the greatest way to win friends and influence people.
  • $5 says if you do a jewish family sues for a hate crime
  • Its not illegal, but it is not advisable. Some people are very closed minded,They forget that we do live in america and by doing so we have certain rights to be interpreted by you the citizen.I personally do not think its a good idea but you do what you want.
  • Somebody will probably set your house on fire.
  • its completely legal. ofcourse it is frowned upon. but ehh who cares. knock yourself out boyo
  • In the US we have freedom of speech etc etc etc, so it is not illegal to hang a Nazi flag. Of course, your neighbors will probably not speak to you!
  • You might get stuff thrown at your house. It is legal though, freedom of speech and such. I wouldn't do it in Germany though, that's a good way to get arrested.
  • I didn't realize there was a "Nazi flag" - are you talking about a Swastika? Because that's a glyph that's been around for thousands of years, LONG before the Nazis adopted it. But if that's what you're referring to, then no - it's not illegal to hang one outside your house. Just incredibly ignorant.
  • It doesnt affect ME. I think its was a terrible thing, however it makes no bearing on how I live my life. Not trying to offend you, just explaining my position.
  • "I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it." - variously attributed but who cares who said it first. People should be selected at random and required to display Nazi flags outside their house so that we will all learn to respect others right to a view no matter how wrong we might think that they are. This is not easy and very contrary to human nature. Evolve!
  • Here's a though experiment for you. This may help you gain self understanding. Or not.... A guy hangs a Nazi flag outside his house. During the night a car drives by and someone throws a gasoline bomb through the front window and the house burns to the ground. Should we do the whole Miami CSI thing to find the person or persons responsible? Get tire tracks, look for fingerprints on glass fragments in the burned out house. Study surveillance tapes from all the gas stations several blocks away. Or should we just wait for the bombers to turn themselves in some day? Your answer? So now you condone firebombers and you feel self-righteous about it. Ooops! Turns out some the other bad guys hung the flag on the house of a Jewish family when they were away on vacation. Be careful people.
  • Its not ilegal but its coming down, One way or another.
  • If you did do that I hope someone does burn your house down. but no its completely legal
  • No. It's considered free speech and is thus protected by the Constitution.
  • i don't think so but you'll get shot i bet
  • Not illegal. But it will most likely get stolen and you can plan on a visit to the hospital soon.
  • Not illegal. Just stupid.
  • From above answers it's clear that it's not illegal......if it were I would say Americans are full time hypocrites!!!!
  • No, it's not illegal and probably nothing will happen.
  • its not illegal t all 'freedom of speech' but the people living around you are either gonna socially outcast you, destroy or deface your property or flat out jump your ass
  • I don't think it's illegal but the real question is why would someone want to do that?
  • I think it is a great way to allow you to go after people who don't tolerate free speech. Film vandals and go after them in court. I would love to see someone Jewish who supports free speech do it.
  • That would probably depend greatly on what part of the US you live in. I would recommend Harlem if you where serious.
  • Hanging a Nazi flag or sign outside your home is not illegal in any state of the US. If in case you do hang a flag or sign of that nature outside on your property and you find someone vandalizing the flag, you or your home in anyway due to the disliking of the flag you hung. You not only can sue for punitive damages you can also prosecute the vandal of a hate crime.
  • If you dont expect to kill you
  • I dont think it is illegal but I do know where I live the homeowners association has alot of say so in what is displayed outside of your home so they may make you take it down or fine you. Also your neighbors may protest & not getting along with your neighbors can make home a hell of a place!
  • Why would you hang a Nazi flag anyways? thats just stupid and you will probally get the crap beat out of you.
  • You will get shot by an unknown man dressed in black.
  • it isnt illegal it just frowned upon in most societies
  • I am unceasingly amazed by the facility with which so many people completely miss the point. Oh well ....
  • Hang it upside-down, show that you are not racist.
  • Put the concept "hang a Nazi flag" in a black box that reads "Freedom Guaranteed by the Bill of Rights". Are you going to take that box away? There is presently a discussion about freedom of speech going on in this country. Some people want you to believe that there is such a thing as "HATE SPEECH" which should not be protected by the Bill of Rights. This is nonsense. If the framers of the Constitution had intended that the Bill of Rights protect only "Socially and Politically Correct Pretty Speech" then freedom of speech wouldn't need protection at all, would it? The instant question translates to: "Are you willing to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic?" Nothing more. Nothing less. Pure and simple. Are you? Surprisingly, many people are not. They get distracted by one issue like a bull in the ring distracted by the bullfighters red flag. These people will be gradually bled to exhaustion and slaughtered with ease - just like the bull.
  • NO, this is the land of the free. Neo nazis have existed in this country since ww2 before America went to war. So there has always been a nazi flag waving in the air in places in this country.
  • no its dumb tho
  • not illegal but be prepared for some pitchforks and an angry mob.
  • You will get your ass kicked and no body will like you :)
  • Nothing on legal matters. But it should be illegal for a hate group to post such things on their houses.
  • Why would you want to do that? You would most likely just make some enemies, but it isn't illegal.
  • No, it's not illegal. Try it just to c wat happens,
  • Why would you want to?
  • Make sure you have good home and medical insurance.
  • then ur fucked up u stupid bitch
  • i shouldnt be and if it is then it violates your right to exprestion, if that is your political alinment, then you should have every right to do so without judgement or legal issues. not the smartest or best thing to do though probably.
  • It's not illegal but you may invite a huge uproar if you hang a Nazi flag.
  • It's not illegal--just stupid.
  • I'll probably pee on your loan and take a shit in your mailbox.
  • No, it's not illegal. And you have a right to do it. I'll even defend your right to fly it. But I won't be having dinner at your house, and nobody who has dinner at your house will be having dinner at mine. It's interesting to note that in Germany, you're actually not allowed to do that. They have restrictions on speech that bar the display of Nazi symbols. As much as I loathe what those symbols stand for, it kind of creeps me out for a government to tell people that there are things they can't say.
  • It isn't illegal
  • I didnt figh terrorists so you could display a symbol of terror to many americans. It has nothing to do with being white. It has to do with not being able to except change. The thing is, it is racist, but it may not be as "racist" as other countries. That still doesn't stop it from being racist. There's alot of under-the-hat racists, trust me. Even if the KKK is silenced, there's still a variety of white supremacy groups. Minorities, mainly black and non-white hispanics get their asses kicked on a daily basis by "unconscious" and institutionalized racism. Some white people are taught that are better than minorities and then this unconsciously manifests itself in their behavior. Some whites think they are entitled something by the rest of the minorities. White Euro-centric culture is the "normal" in the United States. Usually, anything that "isn't white isn't right". Whites have not known that their Western culture is the majority in the United States and they perceive this as a normal phenomenon and make everything based off on that. Asian-Americans fit in well with White-Americans or people of European descent and are seen as a "Model Minority", so they don't experience much racism due to their invisible and almost non-existent nature in the history of the United States. There is also resegregation occurring now. This is happening in housing patterns, where whites live in one area (mainly), blacks live in one area (mainly), hispanics live in one area (mainly), asians live in one area (mainly), etc... There's no such thing as a non-racist country. Sorry. racism is dumb. one love. hope your next life isnt terriable.
  • legal. but, unwise in this current state of mind in america. if you are from germany or grew up there then i can understand the wanting to display it if you are a party member of a small group that still exsists. but, be warned that most americans do not know of the original meaning and that it still exsists in a VERY, VERY, small sect in germany. you will spend a lot of time defending a losing postion. it would be best to keep it indoors on a staff. but you are free to do as you please.
  • You will probably get egged, tp'd, flat tires and other misc. things done to you.
  • Nothing. It isn't illegal. In fact, a teacher at my school has one hanging in his room.
  • Anything could happen. So expect for the worst.
  • it should be
  • No its legal, its freedom of speech, You WILL make some people mad, but if they attack you they will go to jail, might get hit with a racial motivated crime.. But the first amendment says we have freedom of speech to express ourselves verbal and non verbal. There are exceptions to the rule, but for your question your not doing anything wrong.
  • It is legal to do that of course - it is also tasteless and reflects badly upon the person who does it. Most of society would question the need for doing such an act.
  • I believe its protected by the Free Speech Amendment put the expect problems from you neighbors
  • The last time I tried (in Long Island) nothing happened, but that's because everyone in my neighborhood works for the ACLU...
  • No it's not illegal unless there is an ordinance about flags in general.
  • It is a great way to advertise to everyone what a sociopathic moron you are.
  • It isn't illegal, but it is in extremely poor taste and just about equal to spitting on the grave of those who fought and died to stop the Nazi war machine.
