I've accidentally called my fiance by the wrong name. I'd just hung up the phone after arguing with my friend, Katie. I went to ask my fiance, to put his window up and called him Katie. Because I used a girl's name, it was more funny than anything.

Yes, I called my ex fiance by another woman's name 2-3 times, because they looked somewhat alike. She did not take it very well after the 3rd time. Maybe that is why we never got married...

i have never called any of my girlfriends by another name,atleast from what i remember anyway.lol

Um. Not very well. But mine got used to it. (Every now and then I call the new hubby by the old hubby's name.... Um he loves me so much he gives me a pass.)

I'm sure I have but I can't recall a specific incident. I have been on the receiving end of this though. I had a crush on a guy I worked with in the worst way, I was also his history tutor (this was obviously when I was in high school), and we went out on a few dates. After months of innocent playing around, he finally made the big move and you get the picture. He had a curfew, so he kissed me goodbye, drove home, and I saw him at work the next morning (we're talking mere hours after) and he called me Becky. Becky! His ex-girlfriend's name. I was heartbroken and pissed. He passed history with an A and I got another job. I did not take it well.

yes, I called my x Darling, instead of Honey. I think she KNEW right then.

I never have but my husband has done it to me. When we first started dating, he called me by his ex's name a few times but he was always drunk so I let it go. Now, he frequently calls me by his sister's name or my best friend's name. All three start with a hard C sound so, I think he just gets mixed up. Sometimes I give him a hard time about it but I'm not really offended.

I once called my wife Lisa, Karen, which is my ex-wife's name. It was at a New Year's Eve party, and I didn't know I had done it. I just noticed that she was suddenly very cold towards me. A friend who witnessed it clued me to what I had done. I guess what goes around comes around...a few months ago, I was talking with that same friend, and he referred to my ex. When I responded to him, I referred to my ex as Lisa.

I did this once on purpose with an ex, that I called him by a previous ex's name. That may sound silly but the guy was playing games with me to begin with. I wouldn't do it again and of course I broke up with that guy soon thereafter.

I accidently called my boyfriend "Dad" a few weeks ago(It wasn't during an intimate situation so don't get any strange ideas). Mind you, he called me Gemma once, which is the name of his dog.

Yeah, I have. I'd gotten out of a long relationship about a month earlier and I was just starting dating a new guy. I called him my ex's name, he just stared at me for a little bit. Then he smiled and said "thanks a lot naomi" which is my sisters name. We just laughed it off

Oh yes. Once I called him by my ex husbands name when we were fighting. Then on another occasion when we were making love I called him my best friends name who happens to be a guy. He flipped out! We didn't make love for a couple weeks and believe me I haven't done it since!

Yes I have. My boyfriend took it very harshly, he ended up kicking me out of his place. He was very upset with me.

Why just my girlfriends of yesteryears? I keep calling my wife of 27 years by the wrong name quite often even now.

My ex had a weird Romanian name: Nickolay, so no one could pronounce it (it's not as easy as it looks). I honestly had 3 different names for him: Nick, Lay, and Honey, lol. Many times I mispronounced his real name...

Nope, and I have been repeatedly warned that doing so would result in my being fired. I have also had a couple of girls call me by the wrong name, so I can kind of understand it being frowned upon.

yeah. I'd been dating and living with a girl almost two years. When we were finished I caught myself calling another girl that name several times. I guess from habit.

LOL On several occasions in my misspent youth. Boy, did THAT ever get me in trouble! It is especially embarrasing when it happens during more intimate moments. ;-)
