  • Depends. Are you in 2006 or 2007?
  • We are still in 2006. Possible but the darned Aussies will give them a run for their money
  • A rugby question, dear to my heart, being a former player myself for 15 years here in Austrlia. Unfortuntely, yes, i can't see anyone beating the All Blacks in the World Cup this year. Us dear Wallabies will be knocked out in the quarters, we are playing terrible rugby these days and struggling to rebuild our team. I reckon the final will be between the All Blacks and France and it will be a fierce contest with the usual underhand tactics of the French, but the All Blacks will still win in a tight final.
  • well,i dunno?the all blacks are playing excellent rugby right now, having only lost once this year to south africa in the tri-nations[21-20],however,the irish beat both australia[21-6]and south africa, not forgetting that they thrashed the pacific islanders,63-17.I am an aussie myself, and will be cheering for the wallabies.I have a strange feeling that the all blacks will be beaten in either the semis[although it is hard to see that happening]or the finals by either the irish, south africans, aussei's or unlikely the french,if the all blacks do manage to win the world cup the winning margin will be less than three pionts.[and remember, the all blacks have not won the cup since 1987,unlike the aussies-oi!,oi!,oi!]
  • NZ has a nasty habit of blowing it in the big games. So, many times we've heard them described as hot favourites to win, but been disappointed to see their phenomenal winning streaks come to an abrupt end in the crucial games! As a Kiwi, I feel more than a little apprehensive about our chances of going all the way, but I live in hope. We are though, without a doubt, the best team in the world based on test results. No country has beaten us more than we've beaten them! And if we screw up in the world cup, we usually bounce right back to nail the cup holders in every game thereafter.
  • Yes, of course they will. Ok, so you've heard that all before right? Trust me, we're treating this to seriously to blow it yet again. Our new coach, Graham Henry has built our depth, improved our fitness, put in a roatation policy so we won't get complacent and shares with us the European mentality from past coaching experiences. It's already been taken care of, people. The chockers tag that everyone has given us is fair enough but the question is where will you Aussies be when New Zealand win the next 2 World Cups? And correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Wallabies choke to England in the 2003 Final? Ouch, that must of hurt. You had your chance at being 3 time world cup winners, but no, you blew it and thanks to you the Northern Hemisphere has our cup. In the words of Gregan, 4 more years boys, 4 more years.
  • This is what everyone has questioned in every world cup. They always have a good build up to the world cup but when it comes to crunch time they always choke! I love the All Blacks and I am a die hard fan! Born and Raised in NZ now residing in Australia, however it's gonna be France for me this world cup
  • Of course. Every position in their sqaud oozes quality. Two of the best players in the world, Richie McCaw and Dan Carter play for them, not to mention other leading lights like Byron Kelleheller, Carl Hayman, Tony Woodcock, the list goes on. You just watch mny prediction come true at the end of the year
  • No because they play their hearts out during the trials and other games that when the world cup arrives they are burnt out
  • Only if they do that famous Maori dance topless.
  • In answer to the use of the word "choke". This is a word that Aussie journalists like to use because it infers that the All Blacks are worse than those teams without skills or talent. They are worse because they are in the shamefull position of having all the advatages of skill and talent but they wilfully squander it by not having enough moral courage to see it through. Which is a stupid, ill thoughtout arguement! Does that therefore mean that England won the World Cup, not because of the freakishly good kicking of one guy (in just one game) but because the Australians lacked the moral strength to endure to victory ("choked") whereas England did? What BS! The Cup is structured wrongly. It should be Pool play , and then a round-robin for the winners of the pools, giving the best teams who contest a best of final series. Without a "best of" but a "knock out" final you get an England winning the cup when in reality they would not be able to consistently beat Australia, NZ, France or SA if there were more games. My pick at this point... France has hoem grown advatage and the Gaulic temperament to rip your scrotum. Australia has shown they can do it. SA are very skilled at bitting ears and poinoning food. NZ has a good shot but with knock out competition you have to dominate on the day. No second chances. No extra time to work up to it.
  • Nope! South-Africa will suprise everyone....AGAIN!
