Help answer this question below.

If buyer buys a vehicle from a private party. do you have to guarantee that it will pass emission. this vehicle was sold as is with no warranty and just passed emission in Sept. 2008. buyer states that clutch not working and this was just fixed in March

    as is IS as is...it's the buyers resp. to have a mechanic check it out before they buy it.
