  • binge drinking. When alcohol stays in your system and isn't metabolised, it causes damage. Moderate drinking, within the limitations of your metabolic rate can actually be helpful.
  • Moderate is better, particularly if it's red wine.
  • I am not an expert but i would have said binge drinking is far worse. By the way not all alcohol is bad for you, red wine is good for you in moderation for example.
  • Concentration is the killer, for a multitude of reasons. High concentrations lead to alcoholism much faster than the same amount spread out over a longer time. This was a reason for the severe alcoholism precipitated by Prohibition--a workman who had used to have a beer after work now did all his drinking one day a month.
