You're reading Rebuilt 350 Chevy Carb engine on an engine test stand. It runs fine, but the header collector on the #1 side gets cherry red where the other side doesn't. It's apparent one side is running much hotter than the other side. What's the problem?

Are you using an adapter plate for the carb? some carbs are spreadbore and others are square bore, sometimes folks user the wrong gaskets or adapter plate.
