    use a paperclip straighten it out and make it into a u shape and find the ones on the scanner plug that will read codes....keep in mind if the service engine soon light is not on you will get no codes..and on some makes and models of vehicles you can turn the key to on but not starting then back off three times back to back and it will show codes.
