Help answer this question below.
Is this question put out here to depress me?
I'm divorcing, so I'm certainly not married or partnered.
Married and chased....ha ha
Why is this under Anthropology? Anyway I am in a serious relationship
I'm finally in a relationship.
No I am no longer married or partnered
Married 20 years.
you have cheating on the mind. that degree in pysch is very telling
im in a relationship of 10 months so far.
I`m married and somimes it feels like I`m celibate.. since we do it very rarely but I still convince him like once a month ...
:( Makes me sad since I want it everyday... lol
I am following the path of chastity - abstention from all forms of sexual activity.
I believe that those married are those who enter into a committed material, physical and spiritual relationship of mutual support, nurturing and reproduction. Depending on the cultural paradigm they may be monogamous or polygamous but not open.
I see partnered as those who have entered into a committed material, physical and spiritual relationship of mutual support and nurturing as well as those that enter into a commercial relationship of mutual material support. I only mention the commercial relationship as a point of clarity, as in essence it has nothing to do with this discussion.
Celebate people are those that do not do anything that smacks of reproduction, although they can be committed to material, physical and spiritual relationship of mutual support and nurturing with a diety, ideal, a group or an individual.
Chaste people are those that are true to thier committments to a diety, ideal, a group or an individual whether married, partnered, or celebate.
In anthropology,what is stratigraphy?

Chin up, sister. Been through it myself. You are quite a catch. Be patient and dream dude will appear one day with an intellect to match yours.

Why does she need a dude? Why isnt she okay in and of herself? Guys are dumb and selfish in relationships.
by VOD on January 28th, 2007
Because humans are designed to pair up and stay warm on cold winter nights. It's natural. Not all guys are dumb or selfish, that's a terrible generalization. The nice ones that appreciate a fine, clever woman should be rewarded personable companionship for life.

Native Americans used dogs to stay warm on cold winter nights. You are right- I did generalize, but I am a guy so its okay- or not.

I need a dude because I have a dream/goal of being a mother and having a family. I'd prefer to do that with a partner. You are right, kdawg, in that I need to also be ok in and of myself. I have reached that part. I reached that part last February.
by AntigoneRising on January 28th, 2007
I agree kids need both parents. Good for you.Does that mean you married last Feb or became okay with yourself?
by VOD on January 28th, 2007
I separated 2 Novembers ago. Last February, I became OK with being with myself. I found balance in that, and happiness in and of myself. I think you need to do that before you really take on a partner.

Yeah, I'm smart. I'm still lonely and need to finish the divorce process so that I can fully close that chapter of my life and begin a new one.
by AntigoneRising on January 28th, 2007
Your best moments are ahead of you. I'm the other side of divorce mountain and it's a great feeling.
