  • Malcolm is now the prince of Cumberland! To become king myself, I'm either going to have to step over him or give up, because he's in my way. Stars, hide your light so no one can see the terrible desires within me.
  • It means: "As a Prince, I am aware of the need to adjust my spelling to meet the needs of the audience. I am not texting my mates, neither am I Vicki Pollard, therefore I must type using standard English."
  • I'm not suprised you can't understand it given your spelling, but I'll try to help. It's a long time since I read Macbeth, but if I remember rightly Macbeth had been named Thane of somewhere or other and Big Dunc named his kid as the Prince of Cumberland. Obviously Dunc's kid is the next in line to the throne, and Macbeth wants the throne so he must either get rid of the kid or give up on his ambition, hence the "The Prince of Cumberland! That is a step on which I must fall down (give up) or o'erleap (pass), for in my way it lies." He doesn't want people to know he's turning evil (possibly because he's beginning to feel guilty) so "Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my black and deep desires" means he hopes no one finds out. You'll also note a nice Shakespearean couplet in fires and desires there, he's giving you some value for money there
