well if you have insurance on your phone, then it is as simple as going to the Verizon store nearest you and explaining all of the above situation to an associate there and they will see if they have a refurbished model of your broken phone there. If they do, then all they will have to do is simply switch it out right then and there and you will keep your same phone number and everything and it will be at no charge. If they do not have a model of your phone there, then they will be able to look it up and order one and have it sent to your house. When the phone arrives in the mail, all you have to do is bring in the new phone to get it activated and then make sure you mail back your old phone within the time period they tell you otherwise Verizon will charge you for it. If you do not have insurance on your broken phone, then you should still follow all of the above steps, however, there will just be a charge for the refurbished phone (which shouldn't be that expensive)
