People are probably a little tired of my saying so but, To Kill a Mockingbird is really worth while. Not just for the racial issue, but for all the biased behaviors of society, as seen through the eyes of innocence. If you haven't read it, you won't regret it when you do. Oh... and of course, anything by Poe.

Writers: Anne Rice, John Grisham, Terry Brooks, C.S Forester...Sherrilyn Kenyon ...EdMcbain..Shakespeare...Frost...Howard Pease
    Lord Byron

Some of my favorite books are:
The Canterbury Tales( childrens version)If you can find the set with illustrations.
    Who Moved My Cheese?
    The Great Gaspie
    The Count of Monte Cristo
    Of Mice and Men
The Dark Tower series (Stephen King)
    12 Angry men
    The Bourne Identity
    Alexander Hamilton
    Stolen lives (real life)
    The Bible
There are so many books, and I could never read them all, so I try to pick a variety. I am not much into self help books or real life stories. Sometimes I just go to the library and pick one at random. Choose a section at the library, and close your eyes and just pick one at random.

I don't even have children but very few books have made me laugh out loud so often than with

    - - author Shirley Jackson's " Life Among the Savages" and " Raising Demons " - - her memoirs of she and her husband's adventures raising their young children. Hilarious!

[ And her fiction is usually so psychologically distressing! :) ]
