I didn't give Google my email address, but it is displayed at the top of the Google screen, why?

    HDev is living On tHE EdgE

    By creating a gmail account u r creating an account for all(or most) google services. After signing in g mail account u automatically sign in to other services.
    When u sign out of gmail, u r still logged on to other services.That is why u'r id appears on the screen.
    U can sign out completely by selecting sign out from the top right corner.

    if you have a gmail account, you log on it and then you go to google.com it will show it, it's like you are logged on the google environment (remember that gmail is part of google).

    If that bothers you there is a "sign out" link on the top right corner
