  • Creation. We believe everything is made from Allah. However, what scientists call the big bang actually did happen, but the catalyst was Allah. The quran actually explains this and even talks about the universe expanding, a fact just recently discovered. Many people think religion and science have to be separate however they go hand in hand. Check these verses in a quran to see for yourself. "And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it. (The Noble Quran, 51:47)" See this video, here is the link. Very interesting and informational
  • I suspect that there are a wide variety of beliefs concerning Evolution in Islam, just like in Christianity. Undoubtably, there are very many Muslims who are Theistic Evolutionists, but there are some very extreme Fundamentalists who are totally opposed to the idea of Evolution. • This is not really an answer, but rather a comment on the suggestion that Surah 51 of the Koran refers to the Big Bang and that the Koran is in harmony with modern science. I have enlosed two pictures. One is of five different translations of Surah 51: 47 - 48. None of them refer to the expansion of the Universe. In fact they seem to describe a Universe that is imagined to resemble a tent. The sky is described as being solid like a dome or cover above the Earth. The Earth is described as being spread out as if it were a flat surface. The image of a baker spreading out dough comes to mind and it suggests that the Koran teaches a flat Earth.
