  • Because they want your attention :)
  • Because they believe in the Godess Attensium, and when they see you worshiping Monitorium and Keyboardium they feel obliged to push their beliefs onto you. This is really obnoxious behavior. If you try to push them away, they downrate you with their claws, or go off into the corner in a huff without leaving a comment. Cats think all other beliefs besides their own are wrong.
  • They just want a little love. (Laptop) Then they stand on the power button when your not looking, or the delete button. lol
  • Because they are curious why you can play with your mouse more than once.
  • OMG my catm does the same thing the always have to be around your feet playing with cord or sitting on your knee... fortunatly mine hasnt tried to eat the mouse :P
  • Because they can, cats don't need any other reason for anything they can do or think they can do - which is the same thing - and they don't need a reason for anything they can't do either. They just are.
  • My cats do it too, I think they just want hugs and kisses. My kitten actually bats at the things moving on the screen if I am playing a game or something :)
  • Because my cats run the house!
  • Because when you are at the computor it is counted as bugging you, when you are elsewhere it is counted as being loving and friendly.
  • They see it as the perfect opportunity to see you still, in one place, where they can reach you and get you to pay attention to them. Like hersehy_squirter, I usually have 2 cats on my computer desk also. I dont mind- Just when they stand on my paperwork or in front of the screen...GET DOWN!
  • Because you keep putting salmon in your pocket before you sit down! Try snacking on bacon instead. You'll find that your cat will bother you less, but your dog will drive you crazy.
  • They are jealous of the time you spend away from them and want you at their beck and call. I was writing and editing a document once, (30+ pages)kitty decided to help me with it by standing on the keyboard. Kitty locked up my computer. What happens to unsaved data when you reboot?
  • Cats, plural? Because they have a sharing schedule worked out for when you are supposed to worship them and show them you love them, and obviously the computer is an interloper whom you are SPENDING TO MUCH TIME WITH!!! <Cat logic. What can I say?> If I get on the computer during the day, I have to lock my cat out of the room.
  • because i think it's part of there species. i don't think i have met a cat that doesn't want your attention while you are on the computer!
  • The same reason your wife or girlfriend bugs you when your on the PC. They want ALL of your attention. LOL
