  • Interracial relationships/marriage is never a sin. Although, you must be prepared mentally/emotionally to travel that road, friends family and strangers may judge you. I'm a practicing Catholic and have asked 2 very educated priests the same question. I have queried this point using different bibles NAB and KJ, still some read into it what they want to see. Now, be careful about fornication, adultery those are sins. In the words of MLK: I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. And finally: It's all about character! Don't be intrigued by the idea of the interracial relationship, but see what's in their heart and what their actions speak.
  • I presume you mean, in the BIBLE (as the KJV is just one of many translations) The answer to the question is: Not at all. Moses married a Cushite (Ethiopian), presumably a believer who had left Egypt with the Hebrews. The Scriptures say "do not be mismatched with unbelievers", but if a believer happens to be a different background from you, and you can cross the cultural differences, and, of course, you love them, then marry! I am anglo-celtic married to an italo-german. God prepared me well for him, as I already spoke Italian and German before I met him. And my family was big and clannish like a European one, so that didn't worry me. You both have to be prepared to talk things out and establish your own family culture, which will be a mix of both your own, transformed by the love of Christ.
  • There are certain admonitions to the Jewish people to not marry Gentiles, but generally - no.
  • I don't know of a Biblical reference directly addressing inter racial relationships. But there may be. However, God did create all races unique. Perhaps it is best to leave Gods planning as HE has/had it. Instead of taking Gods infinite wisdom and thinking we know best. Man has done this since the fall in the garden, and what a mess man has made. In the animal kingdom, a giraffe does not mate with a trout. Or a trout with a shark. Nor a mule with a zebra.
  • If so, Mary, the human, who had a child in partnership with God, a non-human, would have been in big trouble.
  • The bible makes no refrence to the color of skin.
  • The bible says not to be "unevenly yoked together with an unbeliever" - if you're a christian, marry another christian. But if you become a christian after you are married and find yourself married to an unbeliever, you are to stay married. Your witness for God can help bring your spouse to salavation.
  • No, in niether the Old Testament nor the New. Inter-faith marriages were discouraged strongly (i.e., don't marry an unbeliever), but no mention is made that it's wrong to marry anyone of a different race. The NT virtually denies the significance or race/ethnicity altogether: "in Christ there is no Jew or Greek..."
