Help answer this question below.
I don't know. You cannot be both. You are either one or the other. If you devise a questionnaire and have people answer the same questions and divide them into two groups..one group whom you designate as "educated" and one group whom you consider to be "uneducated" you can compare their answers. Now, this whole idea of "educated" and "uneducated" really boils down to this..I have met some highly "educated" very obtuse, ignorant people and some "uneducated" very perceptive, intelligent people. Education does not make the person..neither does lack of education reduce that person's value to society. Some people have opportunities..others don't. Dividing people into different pots based on education seems very superificial to me and doesn't get to the heart of the matter which is character, integrity, honor and usefulness in life. With or without education, the kind, thoughtful, helpful person is the one I want to spend time with..not the one with the most degrees.
I think its more about how the world sees the two differently... than the two seeing the world differently.
A person can be 'educated' in many ways. I once worked at a power plant and the custodian (janitor) there was a man who had quit school in 6th grade. He had limited mental capacity in the ways of math and science, yet in some ways he was one of the wisest men I have ever met. We tend to think that the more 'educated' in traditional sense would help one understand the complexities in life and deal with them better. I'm not so sure about that. It seems some very educated people have a lot of personal problems, and there are also some very uneducated people who are very content, and seem to have a great understanding of what is truly important. There have been some great thinkers with no real formal education, and there are some very highly educated people who are absolute idiots in many ways. I think that every person sees the world differently, regardless of their exposure to various types of "education".
