Because a couple is suppose to have daily communication every day and it needs to be free-flowing. A relationship needs to be built on trust and communication. When someone say "Sit down, we have to talk" it usually means that there is a lack of communication, which is never a good sign or omen.

these kinds of conversations with my bf are always very constructive... so idk
-
I disagree - it does, although seldom.

That isn't always true. I've had some of those conversations and much good was the result. It depends on what the talk is about and the maturity of the people involved, and whether or not they share the same goal. :) ((hugs)) I've also had some that were a waste of time. :)

because of the words "we have to"... Totally different when someone says "I'd like to" tell you something" or "Hey, I'd like to talk to you about this or that" (and body language).

All together now.....D-Fence..D-Fence...D-Fence.

Because the one being told to "sit down" probably hasn't been listening for a while. I don't actually agree that nothing good EVER comes after that. I guess if you NEVER listen, even after sitting down, then nothing good ever comes of it.

Becasue usually it means some one is going to actually speak the truth and sometimes..most of the time the truth is hard to swallow! But, it is the truth none the less!
-
Because no one wants to hear.."Hang on while I drop this bomb on you."
