-

-
Nope, everyone is welcome in my house. 5 Yellow Avenue, Middle of Nowhere Asia 65J3JS

Doors are locked and alarm system goes on with a few keypad punches downstairs or upstairs. I feel very safe here, but it is all hooked into the police/burglar, fire, medical, heat sensor and CO detection detection center of the whole system, so it is good to have it ALL on and monitored while I am asleep.
-
Yes I do.
-
Yep - lock all dors and windows, except in my bedroom - any visitors there are welcome, there is a Rotty sleeping next to the bed!
-
Yes and sometimes No I have been known to forget to lock the Patio doors and have even gone out for the day and left the main door wide open, Luckily the house is set well back from the road and is screened by trees
-
Always. There are always stories on Crimewatch of people being murdered in their beds, I don't plan to be one of them.
-
Yes and I also set my alarm.
-
Yes, mostly to keep the cats out of my room.
-
no need to. i live in the country. besides, i have a 65# rottwieler, she was the runt, alarm. by the second bark, me and the shot-gun are awake.plus i don't know where the keys are.
-
Not all the time. Plus I have two guy roommates who would fly out of bed and kick whoevers a** who entered the house without permission.
-
We lock the front door, and I lock the doors to my room out of habit.
-
I lock my front door - I don't want a random coming in & casting spells on me. But as for my bedroom door, I leave it wide open just incase the dog wants to come in & stand on my face like usual.
-
Near Washington DC? You bet. I don't care how far out the burbs we are, the doors are locked, the alarm is set and I am armed with numerous pairs of high heels that are within arms reach. Can't say much for our guard dog other than his breath would be enough to scare most intruders away plus he's a 13 year old Cocker Spaniel.
-
Yes, it is a reasonable precaution in an urban area, especially since I live alone and have no desire to use the trusty ol .357.
-
Always - I check and then check again.
-
2 bolts, 2 chains and 1 key, then i realise i have put the cat out for the night!
-
I believe most doors in NY are locked unless someone is travelling through them at the time.
-
Yep. Always.. You never know what sort of creepers are around. :)
-
Always.
-
Yes. I try to use good common sence. No need to make things easier for the bad guys.
-
Sometimes, other times I don't.I have never been robbed and think it is highly unlikely.
-
Yes,I do now.I had someone just walk through my front door. He's lucky I didn't shoot him!
-
Yes and I keep them locked when I'm out of bed too. My address is 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington, DC. I keep a spare key under a copy of the Declaration of Independence that I've thrown out. ;)
-
Of course. We always do. Except on Christmas for Santa!!! hahaha. Yes we do because we live across the street from some drug addic who robbed all the houses in the neighborhood.
-
Usually... My address is 10A Tran Nhat Duat Street Tan Dinh Ward, District 1 T.P. Ho Chi Minh (Sai Gon) This is a high rise apartment building which shuts off the elevators at a relatively early time in the day. I didn't give you the floor or the apartment number. Have fun guessing.
-
Yup. Actually, we lock them as soon as we come into the house, no matter what time of day or night. We set the security alarm before going to bed.
