I have a 2002 honda civic and had to replace my alternator in my car like 4 times within the past 3 months..what could be causing this?

    Are U buying "Generic Lifetime Cheapie" types??? Have U opened one up to see what is wrong with it??? What happens when it fails/why do U think it's a bad one??? Have U had the car tested after U put in a new one??? Four in a row is not right, but on "rebuilds", can happen depending upon what is tested & replaced by a given re-builder. U can have it tested for free @ Auto Zone & Checker. If this one fails, pull it apart & see why testing the regulator,diodes, stator & rotor. John
