It is better to use a conventional (wired) router with a wireless access point plugged into one of the ports, or a wireless router all-in-one?

    There is really not alot of difference but I prefer standalone products. Standalone access points usually offer more operating modes like AP, AP client, Bridging and Repeating where most all-in-ones act only as an AP. So, if I decide to extend my network I could buy another AP and use the old one as a AP client or a repeater or use it in a bridge.
