At 40 it's still acceptable crying because of physical pain?
Last week I slipped and broke my big toe against a concrete wall
I managed not to cry, but when a doctor was setting it (without anestethic) I burst into tears.
I felt embarrassed.

I think crying is a perfectly normal biological reaction, especially to pain. I don't think they're anything to be embarrassed about, at any age.

I think is is crazy that people think it is wrong to cry.

if it hurts physically or emotionally then why on earth shouldn't a person cry.

I would never think less of a person who cries.
