    I hear the phrase "hit a brick wall" all the time in baseball. It deals mostly with rookie players who get fatigued near the end of the long baseball season and they are not hitting/pitching or playing as well as they did at the beginning of the year. The players are not prepared, able to make adjustments, or conditioned mentally or physically for the longer professional MLB season as compared to the shorter college baseball season.
