Question

Help answer this question below.

Today I went out for a three-hour trail ride. The flies were swarming all around the horses and very annoying; How far can a bush fly fly? That is, were the flies swarming around us when we returned the same ones we left with?

In Australia they can fly far, and i reckon they may have stayed with you, they can be kind of "sticky" and hang around a target for a long time.
If you swot at them repeatedly, they will go away (if you have one or two), but a swarm will stick with you.
It has nothing to do with being skanky, although i suspect body sweat from riding activity would have helped attract them.

Well, Mr Ed, bush flies don't fly very far. Maybe they were attracted and attached to something skanky though
