  • Good question. Maybe it's because the fear of Allah stresses them out more than nature intended.
  • Well, for some of them, strapping bombs to themselves isn't exactly a long-term health plan.
  • well smoking is one of the main reasons as all other pleasures are forbidden they smoke ( thought to the extremist smoking is haram too) and over eating is the other in gulf states .

  • What do you mean "muslim countries"? Muslim is a religious belief and not an ethnicity. I am Muslim and living in America. Does that make America a Muslim country? Should you have potentially worded the question "Why do Arabic nations have shorter life expectancy?" The best answer I can think is that, there aren't really any college options in the middle east for aspiring doctors. There aren't as many hospitals and medications and there are many fewer options for geriatrich care. As for the people saying that it's the fear of Allah, or "strapping bombs", clearly you don't know anything about Islam or the Muslim lifestyle.
  • Belarus: Eastern Orthodox. Life expectancy: 70.3 Guatemala: Mostly Catholic. Life expectancy: 70 Iraq: Muslim. Life expectancy: 69.9 India: Hindu. Life expectancy: 69.3 It's fallacious to assume that the Netherlands (79.3) has a higher life expectancy than Haiti (57.6) because the Netherlands are predominantly secular and Haiti is Roman Catholic. No, it's because Haiti is a poor country. Religious beliefs have no effect on mortality. Living conditions, locations, and wealth of the population - yea, they play a role. Not religion though.
