Nothing is more important than my health and the health of the folks I'm with. Absolutely not! If nothing is done in a relatively short period of time, I approach the person whose home it is and I discretely say something to him or her. If nothing is done in a relatively short period of time, THEN I discretely mention something to the caterer. If I notice nothing is being done by any one, I tell the people I care about most - my family and others who I have a relationship with. Then I KNOW I'm going to dine some place other than where that reception is and where the risk of food poisoning is greatly reduced. If we are quite a way from town at a friend's estate or a remote location, I KNOW I would leave, get something to eat and come back.
