Why do people flock to retail stores where they have to pay premium prices for Christmas decorations, and yet at yard sales and thrift stores, people don't even look at Christmas stuff?

    Christmas decorations are notoriously flimsy so buying them second hand can mean they are on their last leg.

    I have bought some xmas stuff second hand but it was vintage not the modern throw away plastic stuff.
