  • At this point in my life, no one could pursuade me to do anything I had reservations about. I have learned to follow my head not my heart, so I would politely decline. Female intuition is the best gift we females were born with :)
  • Let's go with a little poker reference. She can sweeten the pot, lay down a card for me to assess things better, or fold her own interests in the game.
  • Logical reasoning that demonstrates it is the path of least harm.
  • Get me drunk. hey, I'm being honest!
  • I don't know, I don't really have any reservations to be convinced out of.
  • If I really do not want to change my mind I will not. If my reservations are based on bad information, I wil change my mind probably. It's all situational, but generally I stick with what I feel is right, honest and best for all concerned.
  • You'd have to have something solid, but even then i'll still be dubious.
  • Of course it depend upon what "IT" is. There are somethings I could not be persuaded to do no matter what. However, assuming it is of some merit to consider. Show me what the benefit will be. Who will benefit, for how long. What are the down sides, how far down could they go? The closer to a Win/Win a persuasion is, the closer you get to convincing most people to take the logical and beneficial course of action.
  • I'm stubborn so they couldn't unless I secretly wanted to do it already.
  • If I had reservations about something I very much doubt that anyone could get me to do it. I would certainly need a lot of evidence to overcome and prove my fears wrong
  • I usually find cash to be persuasive! :-)
  • Shame. I'm a sucker for shame.
  • Pay me enough cash.
  • Convincing me that it's good for me or for someone I love...
  • My girlfriend seems to know a way that works everytime.
  • I've let that happen to me so many time's - And I hope I've learned my lesson's - Not worth it in the END !!
  • They won't.
  • Well-it starts w/ that person sucking on my--- LOL
  • I have always figured if you have doubts about something, then it is probably not good. So with that in mind if I had reservations about doing something, you probably could not persuade me to do it.
  • It depends upon what the something is and how strong my reservations are. If the little voices inside my head are grinding away, screaming, "NO! DON"T" then the persuader is pretty much wasting his time. For example, Phillip Sealy, the "special adviser to the Minister for Energy Affairs and Petroleum in Trinidad and Tobago" sent me a fax today that contained several compelling reasons why I should help him claim the US $25.5 million he realized from the sale of "our country's diamond" (must have been a big one) that's "currently deposited in a Security company in Europe". Unfortunately, Mr. Sealy, honest and upstanding fellow that he surely is, cannot claim the dough himself because he's still a civil servant. Until that changes, "the code of conduct bureau" (probably adjacent to the "ministry of no capital letters") forbids him to acquire such an amount of money. He has wisely asked for my assistance. How'd he choose me? Can't imagine. Maybe he's an Answerbagger and knows I like to help people. It sounded like a good deal. Mr. Sealy assured me that no risk whatsoever was involved. All I'd have to do is fly to Europe and claim the money. I'd get 25%. $6.375 million sounded good to me. No risk, all reward, and a trip across the Pond. But, you know...I kept hearing those damnable, pesky little voices screaming, "No!" so...I passed. I know, I know - I'm an idiot. On the other hand, if my reservations are tenuous and the something is relatively safe, sane, fun, and legal, I can probably be won over with a wink and a nod. That attitude has gotten me into big trouble a number of times, but that's another story:) PS. I'll hang onto the fax in case you'd like to help. Just don't forget me when you're rich;)
  • Kindness and talking.
  • Depends on what kind of reservations I have.
  • They would have to explain the risks/rewards to me. If they are any good at sales they would emphsize minimal risk and maximum reward. That MIGHT work, it would depend on what it was.
