You're reading Why would any god desire to keep a mother from seeing her son get married? How can any so called christian faith condone this? Mormon temple marriage.

You notice the g is lower case. Because it is not a proper name but a noun. God would never condone such an misuse of his authority to wed someone. I have no angst with God.

You obviously haven't read many of this user's posts here. That is about all she is about. Directing her anger at us.

Her very User ID is an expression of her hatred for us.

Glen, instead of name calling. Why don,t you explain why any god would create a religion or condone one that kept the parents from seeing there children wed?

The child about to go through the ceremony is the one to blame. That child has opted, as an adult, to go through a marriage ceremony that (apparently) is closed to one of the parents. Why blame God? Why blame the Mormons? It’s the child who opted to get married there. They could have gone to a Christian church, or a Jewish Synagogue, or a Buddhist temple where non-adherents are not barred from attending the ceremony. However, the child opted for a ceremony with the Mormons. Their rules about marriage pre-date this particular ceremony, so if the child is opting to seek the Mormons out to conduct the ceremony then any bitter parents need to direct their anger/bitterness/angst at that child for knowingly making that choice.

I don't answer, Lola, because you really don't want an answer. You have shown time and time again that you don't really want to understand what we believe and why. You only want to revel in your hatred for what we believe. Your very choice of UID and avatar shows your contempt for us. So, you fall into the very warning that the Savior gave, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Matthew 7: 6. When you treat people's beliefs with contempt, don't be surprised if they don't want to answer your questions.

MEMBERS ARE TOLD TO LEAVE THEIR FAMILIEAS AND CLEAVE TO THE CLAN, HOW IS THIS CHRISTIAN GLEN?
by Joseph Smith was a fraud and Eisegete on November 3rd, 2008
CAPS LOCK STUCK, LOLA? ;-)
Seriously, though…. First of all, there is no way any member of the Church of Jesus Christ would be instructed to “leave [his or her] famil[y] and cleave to the ‘clan’,” as you put it. The Church only exists to support the family; to suggest anything less is not only ridiculous but blasphemous.
Secondly, you’re right that individuals do sometimes alienate themselves from their families, as you seem to have to done to your son. My grandfather (who was neither member of the Church of Jesus Christ nor active in any other denomination) did this same thing to his brother, the Baptist minister. This is what Christ was referring to when he said:
“I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and
the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own
household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth
son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” (Matthew 10:35-37,

Sounds to me like your son loves the Savior more than he loves you, which is exactly how the Bible says it should be. Shouldn’t you be happy about that?
