It was just announced that ex President Gerald Ford died at age 93. Do you remember how many attempts were made on his life when he was in office and by whom?

    I got it.... Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme:

    A member of Charles Manson's "Family", she was convicted of attempting to assassinate U.S. President Gerald Ford in 1975. She is serving life in prison.

    Two Manson family members, Squeaky Fromme and Sara Jane Moore, made attempts on Ford's life within a couple of weeks of each other in September 1975. Fromme pulled a gun but didn't get a chance to fire before Secret Service subdued her. Moore actually fired a shot that went astray when an alert (and brave!)bystander grabbed her arm. Fromme and Moore got life sentences.

    Ford? I don't think there where any serious attempts. How recent is this cause I've heard nothing?
