I can see why you are tired of living with what you're living with. It would be tiring! I don't know why someone hasn't told you about some ways that you can get off of those drugs. Regular doctors won't tell you these things because they don't know how to do it. Doctors are taught how to treat the symptoms of what we get, not find and eliminate the cause of them! There are many ways that you can overcome GAD and get off of Ritalin forever. First of all, I am not a doctor, or even close to being one. But I have experience with Anxiety and antidepressants, etc, etc, and have been on Celexa for a time, but am now happy to say that I have been off them for two years now and don't plan on ever taking another on in my lifetime! I live in Canada, and in my city I have an awesome allergy clinic called "Forever Healthy Allergy Clinic" that specializes in 'NAET", Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques, and it works! This technique is the complete removal of allergies. Most symptoms of GAD and ADHD are allergy related and should be treated as such, not given medication to just mask the problems. Also, you can help yourself through the proper eating habits as well. By combining our foods properly will boost your health to a level that you thought you'd never get again. If you are up for a change in your life, for the better, you will see a huge difference with your overall health and well being quite quickly. I suggest googling "Food Combining For Health" 'The Hays diet' - authors Doris Grant & Jean Joice (www.synergy-health.co.uk/articles/haydiet.html); also, "Devi S. Nambudripad" (http://www.naet.com/subscribers/letter.html) she is an M.D., D.C, L.Ac., PH.D. (Acu.)...not sure what the DC & L.Ac. mean. Check it out and let me know what you think. These two books can help you see a bit of the bigger picture and help you on your way to getting off of all those pills for good! If there ISN'T an allergy clinic in your area that does the NAET technique, you can buy her books at Chapters Bookstores....just go in to the nearest store and buy one. The two that I have are: "Say Good-Bye to Illness", and "Say Good-Bye to Children's Allergies". There is help out there all you have to do is ask the right people. Good luck, and don't give up! God bless!!
