First let them give you their version of what actually happened as was personally experienced by them.
You must find the questions to ask from their account of the accident.
You will find plenty of points on which witnesses have differences perceptions of the event.
If you can arrive at a common picture from all accounts by picking the holes in each story and clarifying the points by asking the questions to reconcile the discrepancies in each account, you should succeed in your mission.
What was the weather? What other aircraft were nearby? Who was the last person to communicate with the plane? Was there anything abnormal about that communication? What was the cargo? Was the aircraft maintained on schedule?
Did you pack your luggage? Has your luggage been in your possession since you packed it?
what beverages was the pilot drinking?
Do you remember the car you were riding in when you went the fastest you have ever been? (not driving - riding.) How did it feel?
