Help answer this question below.
For anybody who has the same question about fanbelts screaming, please - don't waste your money on new belts/pulleys/parts/belt dressing. The best answer is on your kitchen sink (or stored underneath it!) Yup. Dish soap. Simple as that. I diluted it a little with about 30% water so it would flow quickly and freely. There was not enough room on the side of the engine where my belts are located to even slide my hands down. How to apply the dish soap? Equally simple - use flex straws which you can buy at the 99c store, squeeze one inside another to get the proper length you need, point the end over the belt (with the engine running), and pour down thru the straw assembly you made. Doesn't take much. It won't work on the outside flat part of the belt - must be applied to the inside of the belt with ridges. I don't know how long it lasts in quieting the belts... I just now did it.
probably wrong size belt or you need to adjust it. or try putting some type of wax supstance on the belt to stop the squeeking. dont know about the other thing
