I think when they first start they think it will be easy money. Just set around and pose. I am sure that is not the only reason but I am guessing it is for some of them.

When I was young, I had a desire to model because I wanted to prove to everyone that told me I was ugly that they were wrong. Turns out that when I was given the opportunity for full time modeling career, I didn't take it because I wanted something more mentally and emotionally stimulating.

There are many jobs that make you go hmmm...why would anyone want to do that...baseball, acting, fisherman, etc. To each his/her own.

I don't know about any of you guys, but I personally would not mind putting on some tight jeans, photographed, and then getting paid a rediculous sum of money for my posing talents.

If you are a top model, you will probably get to do a lot of traveling at someone else's expense. The money you earn isn't a bad incentive either. Also, seeing your picture in magazines or being involved in Clothing Designer Fashion Shows would be very exciting. Some gals use it as a stepping stone to other things..some just hang in until they are no longer getting jobs the modeling profession leaves them rather than the other way around. Happy Monday! :)

Good pay, fun, travel, and attention! Yeah i modeled in Boston and in Miami. Living in south beach for a year wasn't so bad lol. I hate attention on myself so it was hard for me to do runway and stuff.It was always a childhood dream of mine. When I did it....It was a lot harder than i thought. Def not as glamorous. It was fun but very competitive!!!!!! Any girl would want to model. And if she said she didn't, she would be lying.

i'm a model and i love it i love the photo shoots runway its all amazing it opens so many extraordinary doors. travel, great money, the chance to work with amazing photographers, the fashion, and it teaches so many important skills: professionalism interview skills confidence how to live healthy ie: skin, eyes, hair, teeth and (setting aside the rate of anorexia that haunts careers like modeling) how to have a balanced healthy diet again i love it
