Why would you want to show him that he is wrong? Why wouldn't you want to respect his feelings on the matter? I think you need to ask him why he feels this way. Get him to explain to you how he sees things. Validate his feelings and try to understand where he is coming from. Telling him he is wrong isn't going to improve his sense of security.

hes right. you should keep things between you and him. no need to tell your friends.

No no...she clearly means ANYTHING! about him...like for example to a friend "Ohhh Billy and I went to the mall, we shopped for shoes, got milkshakes and window shopped." HE is extremely insecure about being talked about because he think that with her telling the story she'll mention that one thing he did where he laughed and snot flung across the table or he tripped while they were walking. None of these things were even noticed but to him, because his self esteem is so low he thinks the entire world is laughing at him. I know because I've been there too!! I feel bad for him, he cannot help it unless he goes through some serious counseling and WANTS to change...Otherwise this is going to lead to jealousy and eventually psychical abuse!! Been there, on BOTH ends!!

you already told us, you've been there.. then maybe you can try do things that succeeded in cnahging you.. or maybe try talk about him when he is around with your friends and make him see that there is nothing to get paranoid about...
