Thanks, pepe08. The "profanity" was hardly anything new for any group at that time, but the "exposure" was a first...at least for the good citizens of Miami in 1969. And Morrison was definitely "out of it". The group was really upset with him. It was the start of many things that led to the split even before Morrison died.

The Doors were already in disfavor because of their statements, words, songs, et cetera that showed their
negative criticism toward Vietnam. So the Miami
performance simply caused the government to like them
less. But the city of Miami got a healthy boost from
The Doors when the bond was paid. Almost all of that
movie was true. Morrison would have done time if the
band/Electra did not get the defense to pay the money.
