I'm feeling really low, tired and tearful all the time. I've had suicidal thoughts so I turned to a friend (who happens to be a doctor) as I thought they might understand how I feel, and now they arn't talking to me. I feel worse than ever.

What kind of doctor were they? It doesn't sound as if this person is much of a friend or a doctor. What you are going through is classic depression, and you should seek help immediately. Call the nearest mental health hospital, facility, or school - this way, they can help you regardless of whether or not you can afford it, or whether or not you have insurance. You should see a psychiatrist, as well as a therapist. Please get help. Best of luck.

You need to go and speak to your gp! I think that your mate is being wuite out of order, and perhaps doesnt know how to react to a friend showing signs of depression, i really dont know how any friend could act like that, please seek help from someone else

That's horrible, they shouldnt have reacted like that as a friend OR a doctor. I think you should go to your own doctor, and try and find some more understanding friends. This person obviously isnt worth it. I hope you get better soon :)
