i'm a life-long registered democrat, and i dread the thought of this socialist ass, obama, being elected president...obama will ruin america for generations to come...where are the clear-thinking moderates in the democratic party?

Ender is back.. And slightly confused.

Party affiliation has absolutely nothing to do with ability to run a country. I'm going to continue to be an independent voter and vote for the best candidate, regardless of what party they've been lumped into.

They can't do better. They're just as twisted as the republicans. Have you noticed that BOTH sides voted to steal $700 billion from us with no clear vision as to how it should be spent? Our gov't is now under the control of special interests. And the Sheeple will be sheared no matter who wins from now on.

I wouldn't call it domination. They have not had a supermajority and there are quite a few RINO's (republican in name only) that are more than happy to vote like a democrat. Plus the dems have been in power the last two years and have done absolutely nothing.

But, to answer your question: No. I would be inclined to simply not vote at all than to vote democratic. I have voted for many democrats in my life, but my problem with the democratic party now is that they are hijacked by the pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-save ANWR elements on the left that alienate moderates who might otherwise vote for them. If they could free themselves from these issues that hold them hostage, maybe I could be a democrat. (but I doubt it...I'm inclined to not even call myself a republican these days...I'm a conservative)

Today, John F. Kennedy would be a solid republican. "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". Hardly an idea espoused by the liberal wing of the democrat pary (and many republicans, I might add). He also wanted lower taxes to stimulate economic growth.

First of all, to dispute your "Republican Domination" premise...need I point out that the Dems are the ones who control Congress?

Yikes! So much for domination! So let me ask you this...what has your beloved Nancy Pelosi done for you lately?

Secondly, to anyone who thinks that simply by virtue of electing a Democrat all of America's issues will be resolved: wake up and smell the pandering, people.

Things are going to get worse before they get better. There is no super duper magic instant cure (just add water! And Presto Change-O! We're all skipping through a field of daisies singing campfire songs...blegh)

And despite what the pundits and folks with their neo-lib thumbs up their rears want you to believe, the current state of affairs isn't to blame on one Stetson-wearing Texan alone.

It takes a village, people. Or in this case, an ENTIRE GOVERNMENT. So suck in that pouty bottom lip, kids and get a clue.

Righteously working yourself up in to batshit histrionics, demanding that it's all the other team's fault is ridiculous....and it's letting ALL of our leaders off the hook.

As long as they can distract us by attempting to put all the blame on their adversaries, they don't actually have to do the work we elected them to do.

Don't vote for parties, vote for people and what they stand for. Parties don't mean shit, they're just the ones who give money to the candidate.

The democrats will fail just like the 40 years before the republicans took control, and then it starts all over again. It's a merry-go-round and when the American people start to wake up perhaps we can get off.

I'll never be for the republicans if you held a gun to my head! I believe Obama when elected, will do a better job by accident then McCain could do with all the help in his party. I am technically an Independent, but do vote democratic when necessary.

Yeah and if the moon were made of cheese I'd take a rocket there and pig out. Forget it. They've had control of Congress for quite some time and they haven't done jack shiz. Now all of a sudden they are going to change? Please. They could have over ruled the President and maybe spent some time on their jobs rather than focusing on total domination of our government.

it's been a failure as far as domination goes because the dems run congress. most of the problems come from them. and if you like how things are now wait until obama wins the election and nancy pelosi is president of the ussa.

No. Government itself has had epic failures but political parties themselves don't cause them, other than creating 2 separate and distinct sides that usually don't like cooperating with each other for the greater good. Do most dems or reps even know the basic principles on which their party was formed? I don't affiliate. Just because one rep/dem does a fantastic job doesn't mean that another person from that party will also.

I know what the democrats are going to do and it will be far worse than what the Republicans did but it appears to me the Republicans are democrats and the democrats are socialist so either way my life style is not represented any longer.

    Steal away.
