  • No offense, but if you don't have enough money for a vet, you really shouldn't have pets. They are a responsibility. If you seriously cannot afford $75 for an office visit, you should give up you kitty.
  • Annete - I don't know much about animals veterinary medicine. I would strongly recommend you still go to the vet, explain your situation. I am sure they would treat your cat, and work with you. Just GO. My cat of 16 yrs had a lump as well it quickly killed her. The entry below is from this site. http://www.felinexpress.com/cat-health/cat-lumps.asp Cat bites do not abscess right away. If your cat has a lump and the lump is giving off heat or draining fluid, get your cat to the vet immediately. The vet will debreed the wound and prescribe antibiotics to stop the infection. Untreated abscesses can take a cat’s life. Get to the vet quickly.
  • Call your local pound, they should be able to help you, and if not, they should be able to get you a number to a vet that can.
  • Its ok ya i know i should have money but i resently got layed off my job the economy is so bad that they layeed me off noone has hired me since because of the economy thanks you guys helped
  • No offense, but you shouldn't be so self righteous. If a disability or circumstances beyond your control forced you to be poor (which obviously you've never had to worry about) you wouldn't want to give your animal away either. Especially if that's one of the few areas of happiness you have left. You should feel blessed that you've never had to be in that position, instead of passing judgement.
  • Keep it clean, dont use soap. keep it dry, if it gets real nasty then find a charity like the PDSA and see if they can help
