Sorry, Bob. I've used up my bullets and can't rate you up. But I AGREE FULL-HEARTEDLY. Either we believe in the legal system or we don't. I think people find it easy to say no trial, because they think it could never be them or their families. But if they try to put themselves in the shoes of the accused and the family in question, that the answer would be clear.
Also, people often think of this as a victims' rights issue. But SOCIETY also, on the other side has the right to swift and speedy justice against the terrorist, if that is what they are. America is cowardly in these disputes. Breaking our own laws makes terrorist stronger. That is obvious. It makes us cowardly looking hypercrits. (sp?)

yes, I agree, we can't stoop to their level, it saddened me greatly when I learned of the mistreatment to prisoners a while back and I am afraid many of us have let hate blind us to our original morals and what this country was founded on
