Where is the worst and best part of Richmond, and how are those sections of the city the worst & best?

    It really depends on who you ask.

    I lived in the heart of the Fan in the Museum District and felt this was the best place - especially for someone younger. It's trendy and safe and close to downtown, highway, and the local bar scene. The closer you get to VCU, the less safe it actually gets... as tends to be the case.


    The West End is pretty good for the older crowd, and the schools there are absolutely top notch. I find it very humdrum myself and would sooner throw myself into the river than live there.

    Southside is up and coming, but it strikes me as a real pain to live there. I'd only go there to get to the River.
