Do they do blood transfusions for animals? If so where do they get this blood? Do people donate there animals blood like humans do?

they usually keep at least one dog at every vet. that they know is healthy and has all its shot, kinda like the vet. mascot and they use him/her for blood transfusions in a pinch if needed.

Apparently, within the last decade veterinary blood banks have been appearing. Up until now, and even mostly still, vets use their own dogs, dogs of their staff, or sometimes borrow a clients dog to make transfusions. Assuming the owner would pay for serious medical treatment.
