Not always. If they are based on software in which case the error is 0% because they are not programmed to be faulty. Errors occur either due to components, in which case electronic systems are highly error prone and mechanical systems are those that have high chances of errors due to wear and tear. So what the machine does depends on what it is made of and what controls it.
