01 Dodge Ram 1500 v6, made a whinning noise the other day. Shut it off didn't drive for 2 days, went to start it was dead, jumped, only would stay running if I was on the gas. Battery is 7 months old.

sounds like your alternator died on you. Your alternator was that whinning sound. That whine usually is a signal that there might be something wrong (unless its like my old mustang it always whined).
