  • You should have done what Jerry Seinfeld did, ask the telemarketer for his home number so that he could call him back at home at dinner time. When the telemarketer objected that they weren't allowed to receive calls at home, Jerry told him "now you know I feel" and hung up on him
  • you lost your temper, you are human it happens. Hopefully the guy will chalk it up to you having a bad day. Call the company and have them put you on a do not call list.
  • The guy on the phone is just trying to make a living, take your complaint to Bell Canada.
  • Many years ago, I worked for an outfit selling land in Arizona. They had a very simple system for preventing this sort of thing. There was one phone book for each area. You tore a page out of that book and those were your numbers, no one else had access to them. The rule was if you talk to someone at that number you crossed it off your list and never called them again. There was only one exception, if they asked you to call them back. Now that everything is computerized they'll probably still be calling you when you're twanging the harp.
