I need to get that Beta fixed lol, got the original trilogy Star Wars(before they douched up Yoda and made Greedo shoot first), bunch of black and white films, a few choice 70s/80s noirs, etc. Seriously there's like a wall of movies downstairs.
i still have one .. incase i come accross a rare movie . ;-)
still have one but have not used it in about 10 years
I do. Yes, it's still working. When I find a job, I'm going to buy a portable DVD player. :)
My VCR still works, and used daily. I use timer record for TV shows, do stuff as it records, and when I sit to watch it, I use FF to skip the commercials. So much for Tivo, I'll stick with this, to avoid the horendous charges. Though I think I'll make my own mold for the shifting mechanism that breaks in VCRs, as they are made with plastic only. Switching it to metal, everything else in it will break before that piece will, as it is specifically designed to be that way.
ONLY the US is trying to get rid of it. No other nation on the planet is trying to do this. And they keep manufacturing and selling them.
Yes, I do. I knew years of recording old sitcoms would come in handy. Now, I can watch them when the only thing on TV today are hacked bits of reruns, shown in-between commercials!!!
Have a vcr dvd combo. Both still work...U can rewind vcr if u miss a few words. But dvd seems to only go back a whole chapter.
I do, every week and sometimes in between.
We do. Just recorded Dr. Phil and Ophra for my wife this week on a VSH tape.
We have two combination VCR and DVD machines and one old VCR only. As long as they work and as long as we have tapes to watch, we use them.
We also have some video camera tapes we run on the VCR.
doubt it ha!
We have one that is a DVD/VCR combo. The VCR part still works but we really don't use it.
Yup....found one still sealed in its original packaging at a garage sale for three bucks, I use it all the time, too cheap to replace all my old tapes with DVDs.
I no longer record television from it, but I do still have one. I have a lot of videos that have not came out on DVD and I am loathe to get rid of them.
I own a Toshiba VCR & still use it to this day. It must be a great one that was produced cuz i've had it more than 10yrs. ;D
Does the video type matter quality wise if 2 different video types have same bitrate?

You simply MUST invite us over same day. I would enjoy seeing your wall of movies!

Lol, it's kind of half a wall and a big pile of tapes interspersed amongst old Sports Illustrateds, busted PS2s and XBoxes, and a few childhood toys sprinkled in, but you get the idea:P

Okay...an episode of Hoarders might be more fitting. :)
